Help us in commemorating and celebrating the service life that continues for retired Coast Guard vessel the MV Tyrrel Bay, now celebrating her 8th year at her final resting place as an artificial reef and shipwreck in Grand Anse Bay, St George, Grenada.
Intentionally sunk on Sept 25 2018 via a huge team effort coordinated between the Grenada Scuba Diving Association (President at the time our very own Christine :), Grenada Port Authority, Grenada Tourism Authority, Grenada Hotel & Tourism Association, Grenada Coast Guard and local technical partners the MV Tyrrel Bay now graces the seabed and is home to countless marine creatures and visited daily by scuba divers. Opened up for safe shipwreck penetration for the more advanced and experienced scuba divers, MV Tyrrel Bay also provides an impressive landscape for beginner divers to float past from the outside on their way over the seagrass beds looking for grazing sea turtles or onto Boss Reef for a lovely coral reef exploration.
